Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research
Within the award-winning Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research at the University of Toronto, scientists from the Faculties of Medicine, Applied Science and Engineering, Arts and Science and Pharmacy are on a journey of discovery. United in their quest to revolutionize the prevention and treatment of disease, they are building knowledge, acting on great ideas, sharing insights and unearthing exciting advances.
The Donnelly Centre is both a building and a novel approach to inter- and trans-disciplinary research. Opened in 2005, the 13-storey, open-concept laboratories are built, quite literally, on the principle that multi-disciplinary research groups can converge on solutions to complex research problems more productively in common space. Already, researchers at the Centre are beginning to produce breakthrough insights on a key frontier—understanding the complex ways in which genes and proteins interact with one another, and your gift will help support its greatest needs.
