Cognitive Science Program
The Cognitive Science Program at U of T is concerned with the study of intelligence in humans and machines. Arising from the birth of computers and the artificial intelligence revolution, and with a new focus on connections among intelligence, consciousness and the brain, cognitive science is one of the most exciting areas of research into the nature of the mind. The field draws on computer science, linguistics, neuroscience, philosophy and psychology as the program's faculty and students seek to understand the cognitive structure and neurophysiological basis of perception, language, learning, reasoning and consciousness in both biological and machine information-processing systems. Your support will help the Cognitive Science Program become the hub for the University's critical mass of mind-brain researchers and make U of T a leading centre for the study of consciousness, cognition and the brain.
