The Robert H.N. Ho Family Foundation Centre for Buddhist Studies
The Robert H.N. Family Foundation Ho Centre for Buddhist Studies supports the study of Buddhism at all three U of T campuses. The Centre works to strengthen the University’s position as a leader in the field of Buddhist studies, enriching our understanding of the development of Buddhist traditions, beliefs and practices as they intersect with the history of peoples and cultures right up to the contemporary world. The Centre explores the way Buddhist traditions have grown and developed, how they have been understood and transformed, and how we can think about them with discipline in our religiously plural environment. Located in one of the most religiously diverse cities in the world, the Centre facilitates public conversations on Buddhism through research, teaching, university networks, public events and community engagement.
