Amir Hassanpour Kurish Studies Fund
Professor Amir Hassanpour was a prominent scholar of Kurdish and Iranian studies, an inspiring teacher and mentor, and a respected colleague at the Department of Near & Middle Eastern Civilizations. He was known for his intellectual generosity and for fostering an ethos of social responsibility and critique in his students. The Department of Near & Middle Eastern Civilizations wishes to enhance the curriculum in Kurdish studies in memory of Professor Hassanpour. With supplementary resources, NMC aims to hire scholars who face personal or professional threats in their country of origin, to allow them to teach and continue their work in safety. Please join us in honouring his legacy at the University of Toronto, while also contributing directly to course development. Your support is deeply appreciated.
